There are two major types of home burglar alarm system. The first is the traditional hard wired home alarm which has wire connections to all sensors and keypads. The second type is the wireless home security system which uses wireless transmission of data from sensors to the alarm. There is much discussion as to which of these is the best home alarm system. This obviously entails a lot of work and repairs to walls after the installation. The net result is high cost and much disturbance of the home environment. In contrast to this a wireless home security system can be installed in an hour or two of easy work even by an amateur, do it yourself, installer.
