Saving the planet starts with me!
I’ve been thinking long and hard about environmental issues and I’m really pleased that we now have recycling in our area, with green bins for garden refuse, small bins for food waste, and special boxes for cardboard, paper and glass. I live in a built up area prone to break-ins, however, what I love about my new system is that they are always developing new applications and in future I’ll be able to monitor all my home appliances, even draw the curtains, programme lights to go on and off and install home security video cameras. The alerts are easy, they come to me via email, text and Twitter and I can see if any burglar has tripped a switch on the alarm system. I can’t wait for the energy usage system, it will help me save money and it will help me reduce my carbon footprint. It’s certainly been money very well invested.
DIY Alarm Systems have become far more sophisticated. Fully wireless home and secure burglar alarm systems can be monitored and controlled remotely. Advanced DIY systems can be installed as a simple starter kit from as little as £239.99 with the option to add devices and functionality covering energy and appliances as well as home security. They can be connected to broadband to send notifications and alerts via telephone, text message, email and Twitter.

DIY alarm systems used to be very primitive in their form and design. Comprising a simple trip switch covering a specific area of the house, it was easy for burglars to find ways of by-passing the system by cutting the wires, or finding entry to the house via an unprotected area. Alarm systems now enable home owners to be notified of intruders, fire, flood, panic alarms, gas leaks and much, much more. New devices can be added such as cameras to view the activity in the home.
